Workshop day with Neil Paris and Heather Eddington

For adults 16 years plus

Spend a day working with two acclaimed local choreographers, Neil Paris and Heather Eddington prior to their performances of Agnes and Walter: A Little Love Story and Forgetting Natasha at the Norwich Playhouse on Monday October 11.


Agnes & Walter Workshop with Neil Paris
 
This workshop will reflect the creative journey undertaken in the making of Agnes and Walter; A Little Love Story and include a yoga based warm up and use improvisation, play and the voice to explore movement, character and narrative.
 
Forgetting Natasha Dance Workshop with Heather Eddington/ State of Flux Dancefilm Company


State of
Flux dance workshop will start with a fun and dynamic contemporary technique class, which will develop dance skills, fitness, co-ordination and strength.  Participants will then go on to learn a section of repertoire from the evening show, Forgetting Natasha. Participants will complete the workshop by creating a short section of their own choreography exploring the combination of movement and spoken text and the creative possibilities it opens to them.

Rambert Dance Company Workshop

An exciting workshop based on Rambert’s ‘Awakenings’ tour. An opportunity to find out more about Britain’s national contemporary dance company as well as to learn sections of repertoire from their current production.
 
‘Awakenings’ is a beautiful piece of dance full of high emotion, energy and drama
 
The workshop will be led by one of Rambert’s Animateurs; a professionally trained dancers and teacher.

Combining ballet warm-up exercises, creative dance and live music, join Northern Ballet’s adult workshop forthe chance to develop your movement skills through exploring themes and characters from the production.

Ballroom Dance workshop day

For adults 16 years plus
 
This workshop led by Xavier Navarre, is designed to get beginners equipped with the basics and to explore the deeper techniques of ballroom. The day aims to use a mix of teaching and coaching so that participants at any level or from any dance genre, (be it contemporary, theatre, ballet or street) will be able to take away something useful that they can implement in their own dancing.
 
Xavier Navarre was Principal Teacher with Cafe Society in Leicester Square, London and went on to run a programme of master-classes in Japan and the United States. He has been involved in choreographing shows for London Fashion Week and The Royal Festival Hall.
