Arts Award Welcome at Norfolk Dance
Norfolk Dance is an Arts Award welcome organisation, supporting current Arts Award participants in completing sections of their Arts Award. They can take part in Norfolk Dance's popular dance class programme as a student or gain work experience by assisting with certain groups and helping out behind the scenes. Norfolk Dance offers a wide range of dance classes and groups, varying from contemporary to creative and street dance (see classes & workshop for more details). So whether you would like to work on dance technique, explore new styles and/or your creative skills; Arts Award participants are welcome to join or try* a class for free!
We sometimes need support for some of our groups, so if you have what it takes to be a right hand to our dance tutors and artists, this would be a great opportunity to explore and gain experience working within the world of community dance.
To find out more about these opportunities please email the Arts Award Regional Development Co-ordinator (East region) Olivia Dean: Olivia.Dean@artsaward.org.uk
Arts Award is the first accredited youth arts scheme to recognise how young people develop as artists and arts leaders. Young people aged 11-25 of all abilities and interests can gain their awards in any art form. Taking part in an Arts Award develops young people’s creative and personal skills for further education or employment.
The Arts Award is run by Arts Council England and Trinity Guildhall. For more information on the scheme, please visit the Arts Award website at www.artsaward.org.uk
